The rise of AI in society overall is seeping into the senior living industry, as companies and communities adopt various programs and processes to improve efficiencies and resident satisfaction.
The efforts come as a recent JAMA Health Forum analysis found that adoption of AI tools in healthcare lags behind other industries, with residential care communities and nursing homes falling behind other healthcare settings.
The study found that AI use in healthcare overall (8.3% of organizations) was lower than in other sectors, including finance and insurance (11.6%), education (15.1%), professional / scientific / technical services (19.2%) and information services (23.2%), according to the analysis.
