Marion County officials will break ground next week on a new fire station at the campus of the Florida State Fire College in north Ocala.
Marion County Fire Rescue will host the official groundbreaking of MCFR Lowell Station #11 on the campus of the Florida State Fire College on Tuesday, December 9, beginning at 10 a.m.
The new facility will be located at 11655 NW Gainesville Road in north Ocala. The fire station will be developed by Ocala-based Dinkins Construction.
“This milestone represents a major step forward in enhancing fire and EMS coverage for the Lowell community and strengthening our partnership with Florida’s premier fire training institution,” reads a statement from MCFR.
