HOBE SOUND, Fla. (CBS12) — If Hobe Sound residents see smoke rising into the air on Wednesday, it’s due to a prescribed burn being conducted in the area.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Jonathan Dickinson State Park will be conducting a prescribed burn starting Wednesday, December 3, if the weather permits.
The burn will consist of 275 acres of pine flatwoods adjacent to the Hobe Hills and Eaglewood neighborhoods.
