Barricade situation near North East ends with suspect surrender

NORTH EAST — A barricade situation in a neighborhood near North East over the weekend ended after approximately four hours when the suspect surrendered peacefully to law enforcement officers who had surrounded the residence, according to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office and Cecil County District Court records.

Investigators identified the suspect as 38-year-old Corey R. Feazelle, an Elkton resident who allegedly brandished a handgun during a domestic dispute at a home in the 100 block of Ontario Court in Lakeside Mobile Home Park at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday and then fled to a nearby residence in the 200 block of Lakeside Drive – where the standoff took place.

Numerous law enforcement officers rushed to the scene, including members of CCSO’s Special Response Team, which specializes in handling barricade situations and similar incidents, according to Lt. Michael Zack, an agency spokesman…
