Dispute drags on after Grand Rapids water main break flooded homes

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — More than a dozen families in southeastern Grand Rapids are continue to look for solutions from the city after a water main break last year flooded their homes.

Tom Schurino’s home is among 13 that flooded when the break happened in June 2024. More than a year and a half later, he said there are still about $20,000 worth of damage that needs to be fixed in his basement.
