BRPD: Gunman who forced victim to withdraw money from several banks tased, arrested

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man is accused of holding someone at gunpoint and forcing them to drive to multiple banks in an attempt to obtain money.

Daniel McCoy, 18, was charged with aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery, carjacking, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, resisting an officer, negligent carrying of a concealed handgun, and possession of marijuana.

The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery in the 3200 block of Ozark Street between 2:40 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29.

While on the way, an officer was informed that a vehicle had been stolen from the location on Ozark Street. Before arriving, the officer saw the vehicle being driven by a person wearing a face mask, BRPD said…
