KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A cold front enters into the KCTV5 region Wednesday, allowing for the potential of wintry mix. The front will clear the area by the evening and result in the coldest day yet for Thursday.
Cloud cover will be on the rise tonight and temperatures dip a few degrees below the freezing mark into the upper 20s. Since temperatures will be below the freezing mark for a few hours, roadways may refreeze again tonight. Remain cautious on the roadways.
We have a First Warn in place for Wednesday with a 40% chance (spotty to scattered in nature) for wintry mix – rain, snow and some patchy freezing drizzle possible. The window for patchy freezing drizzle in spots will be brief and bring minimal accumulation but it is a possibility. If any does fall we could see roadways become slick in spots…
