HOUSTON, Texas — Charges have been filed against three 19-year-old suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at 1251 Wilcrest Drive on September 17, 2023. The suspects, Jason Taylor, Treyveon Barnes, and Javail Brazil, are charged with capital murder in the 180th Criminal District Court.
The victim, identified as 20-year-old Juan Capote-Palma, was found in critical condition and later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Houston Police Department (HPD). Officers responded to a shooting report at an apartment complex parking lot, where Capote-Palma’s vehicle had crashed into several vehicles.
