Dec. 1 marked 70 years since Rosa Parks sat so others could stand.
The City of Lafayette recognized Parks for her bravery with a ceremony and presentation Dec. 1 at the aptly-named Rosa Parks Transportation Center — 101 Jefferson St. in Downtown Lafayette.
