Actors Patrick Duffy & Linda Purl fight hunger in Houston with ‘Duffy’s Dough’ & Kroger

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Patrick Duffy’s name is no stranger to TV fans. He’s a television icon as both an actor and director, widely known for his role Bobby Ewing on the Primetime Soap Opera “Dallas” and other hit shows like “The Bold and the Beautiful”, and “Step by Step”

Linda Purl also has iconic roles in television such as Ashley Pfister on Happy Days, Sheila Munroe in the 1982 horror film “Visiting Hours”, Pam Beesly’s mother Helene in “The Office”, and Ben Matlock’s daughter Charlene Matlock for the first season of the television series “Matlock”.

Now, these two Hollywood heavyweights are using their resources to help feed those, who can’t feed themselves.

The variety of breads made from that starter have remained a time-honored tradition, gracing our tables bringing family and friends together, through the simple shared activity of baking something we love.”Duffy goes on to say, that by “recognizing that good things happen when folks break bread together, we are committed to making tangible differences for good in the world by donating 100% of our profits to hunger relief. It’s what the world kneads now”!

Now, they are in Houston to talk about their mission, to provide hunger relief here and beyond. I talked with both Duffy and Purl about their mission and how everyone can help feed the hungry…
