McKinney’s Tourism Surge Drives More Than $3.3 Million In Hotel Tax Revenue

The city of McKinney is experiencing one of the strongest tourism surges in its history, driven by record-setting hotel revenue, major new development and expanded investment in community events.

As visitor demand accelerates, city leaders say the momentum is reshaping McKinney’s position within the region’s travel and hospitality landscape.

City figures show McKinney brought in more than $3.3 million in hotel occupancy tax revenue during the 2024-25 fiscal year, exceeding last year by roughly $200,000.
