A 28-year-old Parrish man died from critical injuries after a motorcycle crash in Manatee County last month.
Ian Oviatt was riding his motorcycle on State Road 64 when a 75-year-old Bradenton woman entered his path and tried to turn left, according to a Nov. 9 crash report. Oviatt was thrown 60 feet from his bike, and was flown to HCA Florida Blake Hospital, the Bradenton Herald previously reported.
Despite wearing protective gear, such as a helmet, padded jacket, gloves and boots, Oviatt suffered several life-threatening injuries, according to the GoFundMe fundraiser created by his girlfriend, Cheyenne Hartley.
