Raleigh, NC – Residents across Wake County are being warned today after the Wake County Sheriff’s Office reported scammers posing as detention officers and deputies and attempting to steal money from local residents.
According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the impersonators are contacting individuals and claiming they must pay for bail, outstanding warrants, or ankle monitors.
