BAHAMA, N.C. (WNCN) — Monday afternoon was a scary ride home for 20 students after their school bus overturned in Durham County.
New photos obtained by CBS 17 show the moments after the bus coming from Mangum Elementary School crashed near the corner of Johnson Mill and Patrick Roads.
Ten students and the driver of the bus were taken to three different local hospitals. On Tuesday, Durham Public Schools reported the children and driver were not kept under care and released with minor injuries.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the bus driver ran off the road at a curve and over-corrected before overturning and hitting a tree on Monday. The driver is cited for failure to maintain lane control…
