Two Somerville men with previous drug charges and assault convictions were arrested last week after a traffic stop in which deputies found marijuana and methamphetamine in their truck, according to a Morgan County deputy’s affidavit.
Bobby Dewayne Springer, 60, and Shawn Edward Springer, 57, were charged with possession of controlled substances and second-degree possession of marijuana. Both were booked into Morgan County Jail on Nov. 25. Bobby Springer had an outstanding warrant related to a prior second-degree assault conviction, while Shawn Springer had warrants for earlier drug-related charges.
