Donald Wayne Roop, 47, of Paradise, was arrested after the early-morning burglary on Sunday, Nov. 23, according to PSP and court documents obtained by Daily Voice.
Troopers were called to 183 Black Horse Road at approximately 7:10 a.m. when the homeowner reported that the intruder entered through a garage door and then came into his bedroom, according to the release. The victim told police he opened his eyes to find a “middle-aged male” dressed only in underwear standing beside him as he slept.
The man yelled at Roop to get out, checked on his baby daughter in an adjoining room, then retrieved a handgun and ordered Roop out at gunpoint, PSP wrote in the affidavit. The victim said he had no idea who Roop was and that he was not welcome inside the home…
