BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been charged after police say he left the scene of a crash where he struck two pedestrians.
According to the Burlington Police Department, on Tuesday, just after 7 a.m., they responded to the I-40 westbound on-ramp near Maple Avenue regarding a crash involving pedestrians.
A woman and her child were walking along Maple Avenue in the direction of a nearby school. When they crossed the I-40 westbound on-ramp, a white Dodge Ram truck turning left onto the interstate hit the two of them.
