Man charged in theft of 4-wheeler from Ocala home

An Ocala man has been arrested and charged with grand theft, four weeks after he was allegedly captured on video surveillance footage stealing a four-wheeler from a local residence.

On Friday, October 24, a male victim contacted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to report that his Yamaha 4-wheeler had been stolen outside his home, which is located on SW 32nd Terrace in Ocala, according to the report.

Several MCSO deputies responded to the victim’s home and collected video footage from a surveillance camera. The report stated that a male suspect dressed in all black – later identified as 32-year-old Shawn Paul Robison – was observed on the footage approaching the incident location, where he proceeded to stand beside the 4-wheeler for an “extended period of time” while smoking a cigarette.

Robison then allegedly pushed the victim’s 4-wheeler down the road…
