Teen killer granted parole after 35 years

Chad Campbell, convicted of murdering a 15-year-old girl and a toddler in Palmyra in 1990, has been granted parole and could be released by March 2026, according to the Finger Lakes Times.

Campbell, now 50, was 14 when he raped and fatally stabbed Cynthia Lewis and 17-month-old Curtis Rizzo. He joined the search for them before being arrested. He was tried as an adult and has been in state custody since 1996.

Officials haven’t explained why parole was granted after multiple prior denials…
