CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — Arctic air has been pouring into eastern Iowa Wednesday, sending temperatures down through the afternoon. With snow on the ground, clear skies, and light winds, temperatures will continue to tumble until daybreak on Thursday.
The average low temperature for Dec. 4 in Cedar Rapids is 21. Temperatures are going to be at least 30 degrees below normal and shattering records for Thursday morning.
On top of that, add a little wind and it will *feel* even colder. Wind chills of -15 to -20 will be possible, which could lead to frostbite on any exposed skin after 30 minutes outside…
