Curbin’ Cuisine restaurant owners seek buyer

The owners of Curbin’ Cuisine in Ankeny are searching for a new owner who wants to take over their space at 1325 SW Oralabor Road.

What they’re saying: OwnerMisty Fontanini tells Axios that the birth of her first grandchild led her and her husband to want a change in pace.

  • “We need to slow down, and we don’t want to miss everything that we missed with our actual three daughters,” she says.

State of play: While they search for a new owner, Curbin’ Cuisine will remain open, Fontanini says.

  • The restaurant serves traditional and fusion foods, including sandwiches, burgers and sides like PB&J fries and garlic parm pretzel bombs.

Flashback: They moved to the 3,000 square-foot Ankeny location in 2024 after outgrowing their longtime Beaverdale space.

  • Ben’s Burgers was previously in the Oralabor Road location.
