A judge has found a man guilty in Cedar Park shooting and standoff that injured three officers in 2020, officials said.
Joseph Desean Taylor was found guilty Tuesday of three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer and two counts of aggravated kidnapping, according to a police news release. It said the standoff on Aug. 16, 2020, also involved an 18-hour hostage situation. The convictions are all first-degree felonies punishable by at least five years and not more than 99 years in prison.
Two officers were struck by bullets that Taylor fired during the incident and another was grazed by a bullet that Taylor fired, the release said. It said all of the officers survived their injuries…
