LUBBOCK, Texas — Ravonte Valentine, 29, was arrested Saturday following an incident at the 1800 Buddy Holly Avenue.
According to court documents, a Lubbock Police Department officer was stopped by Valentine outside of a bar near the scene. He told the officer that he believed he left his driver license inside the bar after being removed by the staff. However, Valentine later found his license and told officers he was heading to another bar or club. Due to his visible intoxication, the officer advised that he needed to find a ride home instead of continuing to another bar. When he refused, the officer placed him under arrest for Public Intoxication.
The officer would then run his information and discover two outstanding warrants for Aggravated Robbery and Robbery. Valentine was then transported to the Lubbock County Jail where he refused to exit the officer’s vehicle. Due to this an additional charge for Resisting Transport was assessed to him. A final charge of Expired Registration was given to Valentine on his booking into the jail.
