Nebraska – A thin glaze of ice and a biting wind greet Omaha commuters this morning as early December reminds residents that winter has arrived in full force. Roads appear mostly clear at first glance, but forecasters warn of light freezing drizzle that could quickly turn bridges and overpasses slick through mid-morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley, a 15–25% chance of flurries or freezing drizzle persists across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa through midday Wednesday. Any moisture left untreated could flash-freeze, especially on shaded rural routes and high-speed stretches of I-80 and Highway 75
