OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – Around 60,000 Kansas City area children need Christmas toys, marking the highest demand ever in the metro.
The Overland Park Convention Center says the surge represents a dramatic increase from just two weeks ago. Now, with less than 10 days until the Dec. 11 deadline, donations are falling short.
This is the largest demand we’ve ever seen in Kansas City,” said SSgt. Cristian Martinez, Kansas City Region Toys for Tots Marine Coordinator. “Every toy donated helps us reach one more child who might otherwise go without.”…
