Two pit bulls shot dead after attacking Rockford Police K-9 during teen chase: police

ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — A Rockford officer shot and killed two pit bulls who attacked his K-9 on Tuesday night while attempting to arrest three teens who ran from police during a traffic stop.

According to the Rockford Police, officers with the Specialized Community Oriented Police Enforcement (SCOPE) team conducted a traffic stop in the area of Gilbert Avenue and Rockwell Street on December 2nd, around 7:58 pm.
