Illinois State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a bicyclist last week.
At approximately 8:29 a.m. on Nov. 25, troopers responded to the area of Route 53 near Tehle Road, where they located a male bicyclist who had been struck by a vehicle, police said.
The individual, who was identified as DeAvion Smith, 25, of Joliet, was taken to an area hospital, where he died, the Will County Coroner’s Office said.
