Wichita Public Schools asks for community help to support homeless students, families for Christmas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita Public Schools is asking the community for help to give homeless students and families a merry Christmas as the district has seen an increase in homeless students this year.

The district has over 1,400 homeless students this year, said Kowonia Bowen, WPS McKinney-Vento program specialist.
