HSPPR raising money for homeless animals for Giving Tuesday

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) is raising funds for the care of neglected, homeless, and injured animals on Giving Tuesday.

HSPPR shared the story of Dasher, who arrived at HSPPR with a serious case of “puppy strangles,” a condition where his immune system was attacking his own skin. Dasher was found outside a business in Pueblo with swelling and bumps, starting a long journey of recovery.

The puppy is currently recovering in a foster home. HSPPR said that with donations from the community on Giving Tuesday, Dasher is just one example of animals being helped daily at HSPPR.

HSPPR said for every donation made by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 they will be matched up to $50,000–$30,000 from Fetch Pet Insurance and $20,000 by a longtime friend of HSPPR…
