SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Salt Lake City School District has voted to close certain schools and programs, providing open enrollment options for students.
On Tuesday night, the school district voted to close the Washington Elementary Grade 4–6 Magnet Program at the end of the 2025-26 school year, reconfigure Nibley Park School from a K–8 school to a K–6 school beginning in the 2026-27 school year, and close Innovations Early College High School at the end of the 2025-26 school year.
The board also directed the superintendent and district staff to work with the Innovations School Collaboration Team and the School Community Council to find placements within existing comprehensive district high schools for Innovations students.
Open enrollment
