Tradition continues as the Ducks sign more speed, fastest prep sprinter

A 10.4 sprinter is in the Top 1200 in the world, but at 10.15 in the 100 meters, Gatlin Bair ran one of the fastest 100 meters in prep track history.

Now he’s officially an Oregon Duck wide receiver after completing his religious mission and signing with the team in the first hours of the Early Signing Period.

Even by Oregon standards with a long tradition of blazing speed, Bair is historically fast. He ranks right up there with Patrick Johnson and Samie Parker, three-tenths faster than any recorded time by De’Anthony Thomas, LaMichael James, Kenjon Barner, Dakorien Moore, Evan Stewart or Malik Benson.
