COLONIE, N.Y. (WRGB CBS6) — The death of a 21-year-old homeless man found outside Albany International Airport is sparking new urgency as temperatures are expected to drop sharply across the Capital Region this week.
Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said deputies discovered Dajohn Woodberry Jr. curled up outside the airport’s north parking garage Sunday morning. An autopsy determined he died of hypothermia, and investigators said he had also been dehydrated and had not eaten in several days.
Woodberry had been experiencing homelessness and was recently staying in the Lake Placid area. According to Apple, he arrived in Albany on Friday after taking a bus from the North Country, but authorities still do not know why he came to the airport or why he remained there for two days…
