Turning Much Colder by Friday with Light Snow Expected – First Alert Weather Day

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – As we move into the late week, we will have another hit of some winter weather, this time snow, *First Alert Weather Day, Friday*. On Thursday a dry Arctic cold front will cross the region by afternoon. Temperatures will climb well into the mid to upper 40s and breezy northwest winds. Behind this front, another shot of even colder air will settle in for Friday. To complicate matters, another storm will develop to our south and bring some accumulating light snow across the Mid-Atlantic region. Temperatures Friday morning in the 20s and daytime highs upper 20s to low 30s.

Light snow is expected to develop during the predawn hours of Friday morning and continue through much of the morning……
