Downtown Durham now features a new Fast EV Charging Station. The City of Durham, NC, shared on a social media post that a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the station’s opening, providing residents and visitors with increased access to electric vehicle charging.
The new fast charger, the first public unit within Durham’s Downtown Loop, features three plugs and uses locally manufactured Kempower DC fast-charging technology. The installation is part of the city’s broader sustainability efforts and was unveiled with participation from the City’s General Services and Transportation departments, as well as partners including Kempower, Duke Energy, ESC Revolution, and National Car Charging.
