Fresno Police to crack down on cell phone use while driving

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) –The Fresno Police Department will be looking for drivers suspected of violating the hands-free cell phone law Saturday.

Police say that using a handheld cell phone while driving is punishable by a fine.

If you violate the law for a second time within 36 months of a prior conviction for the same offense, police say that will result in a point being added to a driver’s record…
