A journalism student from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) has reached out via social media, seeking assistance for a final project. The project focuses on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the delay in payments due to the government shutdown, and the inherent flaws in the SNAP setup. The student is urgently seeking to interview a household that relies on SNAP for groceries and has been affected by the delay in payments. The interview, which is not intended for publication, will be conducted over a 15-20 minute phone call.
