Teen arrested after Ward Drive shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with an October shooting in Lexington.

The Lexington Police Department said officers responded to a shooting around 5:46 p.m. on Oct. 29 at the 700 block of Ward Drive.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a news release, detectives identified the suspect and arrested the teen on Dec. 1. They were charged with first-degree assault and minor in possession of a handgun.
