A judge is allowing both sides more time to file their closing arguments in the appeal of a Bonita Springs man on death row for orchestrating his wife’s murder.
A Lee County jury convicted Mark Sievers of being a principal to commit first-degree murder with a firearm and conspiracy in the death of his wife, Dr. Teresa Sievers, 46. Mark Sievers’ attorneys hope the judge will overturn his conviction and death sentence with the appeal.
