Virginia Education Secretary visits lab school at Roanoke College

SALEM, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia’s Secretary of Education Aimee Guidera visited Roanoke College on Wednesday to check on the progress of their Explore@RC program.

The lab school allows high school students to attend college classes and earn credits.

“They’re getting the mastery of things and the expertise that shows up as college credit — or through our other lab schools, industry-recognized credentials — and the ability to go directly into their third year of college, because they’re graduating with so many college credits they can do that, or go directly to the work force, or even the military,” said Guidera.
