ARDMORE, Ala. (WAFF) – One woman is fighting to keep her pet chickens, despite a law saying she doesn’t live in the right residential zone to do so.
Brianna Patterson says she has owned chickens for over two years, but had no idea a zoning law says she can’t. A zoning ordinance in Ardmore states that out of all seven residential zones in the town, the Agricultural District (A-G) is the only one where people can own chickens.
