Two people displaced after being rescued from fire in Cedar Rapids apartment

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — Two people are out of their home after they were rescued from a fire in Cedar Rapids Monday night.

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded just before 10 p.m. to the fire in an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Westdale Drive SW.

Cedar Rapids police officers arrived on the scene first and tried to find the residents and the source of the fire on the second floor. Firefighters then arrived and began knocking down the fire and searching the building…
