Texas Weather: Next Week (Dec. 9–15) December Warm-Up Ahead; Below-Normal Rainfall Forecast

Dallas, TX – Texas will enjoy an extended stretch of mild, sunny, and dry weather through mid-December as warm air from the Pacific builds across the southern U.S. According to the NOAA Climate Prediction Center’s 8–14 Day Outlook, issued December 1, the state is forecast to see above-normal temperatures and below-normal precipitation from December 9 through December 15.

High pressure over the Southwest will keep skies clear and storm systems well to the north. Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio can expect highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s, while Houston and the Rio Grande Valley may approach the low 80s. Nights will stay cool but comfortable, generally in the 40s and 50s…
