MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison on drug trafficking charges, according to a press release from the US District Court in Madison.
Christopher Harter pleaded guilty to the charges on Tuesday and was sentenced by Judge William Conley on Wednesday. The 49-year-old was found with more than 80 grams of fentanyl and heroin on him during a traffic stop in March. That discovery led to a search of his home, which turned up another 50 grams of meth along with drug paraphernalia, including a scale and drug ledger.
The stop came one month after the Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force identified Harter as a Wausau-area drug dealer. His sentence also includes five years of supervised release…
