AURORA, Ill. (WGN) – An investigation is underway after an Aurora police officer shot at a vehicle Tuesday morning.
The Aurora Police Department said just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers received word of a road rage incident in the area of Jackson Street and East Benton Street. The caller said the other driver was following him, had a gun and made a statement claiming to be law enforcement in an effort to get the caller to stop.
Officers found the vehicles at the intersection of 4th Avenue and South State Street just blocks from East Aurora High School and found the driver referenced in the 911 call outside of his vehicle.
