Suspect Arrested Following Bank Jugging Incident in Spring

Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 20-year-old suspect Wednesday afternoon, December 3rd, after a bank jugging incident that began in New Caney and ended in the Spring area.

The victim told deputies he had withdrawn cash from a bank in New Caney and then drove to Spring to complete a private purchase. When he arrived, an unidentified man approached his vehicle, grabbed the cash, and ran. The victim realized he’d been followed from the bank and called 911.

A quick, coordinated response unfolded across several agencies. Deputies from Montgomery County, officers from the Splendora Police Department, troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety, and Precinct 4 Constables set up a perimeter in the area. K-9 teams and drones were brought in to track the suspect as he fled on foot…
