50 cars reported off Highway 93 due to icy road conditions

DENVER (KDVR) — With snow continuing to fall in the Denver metro area on Wednesday, resulting in icy driving conditions, law enforcement said that around 50 vehicles have reportedly been seen off of Highway 93.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said that along Highway 93, deputies have seen around 50 vehicles off the roadway and have also assisted several drivers with getting their vehicles out of the snow.

At around 12:04 p.m., there had been no reported injuries along the highway, according to the agency.

However, the sheriff’s office wanted to remind motorists of the importance of driving safely due to the slick roadways, as winter weather will continue in the metro area before clearing Wednesday evening.

“Please give yourself extra time, slow way down, leave lots of room between you and the next car, and drive with patience and caution,” said the sheriff’s office on X.
