LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Southern Nevada’s healthcare system is about to expand with a first-of-its-kind recovery hospital.
In mid-December, Dignity Health will open Las Vegas Recovery Hospital on the campus of the Rose de Lima Hospital in Henderson. It will be the region’s first specialized acute care hospital designed for patients suffering from substance use disorders and serious medical conditions.
The 32,000-square-foot facility will help “address the critical gap between medical treatment and addiction recovery by providing compassionate, stigma-free care for patients who are too medically acute for traditional rehab facilities and too clinically complex for emergency departments to safely discharge,” the release stated…
