Las Vegas residents reject HOA dues increase

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Homeowners in the northwest Las Vegas valley got a major win after their HOA had proposed doubling monthly dues, but neighbors organized fast and stopped that increase in its tracks.

“More than a relief, it’s fantastic because I thought I was going to lose my home and everything else, and I’m just so grateful everyone joined in,” neighbor Denise Holden said.

Residents at Bavington Court near Torrey Pines and Balzar Avenue said their grassroots effort paid off. A petition including 151 signatures from neighbors was well above what was required to stop the HOA’s proposed dues increase…
