Anchorage residents now have the chance to weigh in on which local park will take home the title of 2026 Park of the Year. The Anchorage Park Foundation has announced the three finalists, and online voting is officially underway.
This year’s Park of the Year competition features three Anchorage favorites. Cheney Lake Park, often called a “neighborhood favorite,” is known for its quiet trails and local charm. Jewel Lake Park offers a variety of recreational options, making it a go-to spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. And the newest contender, Potter Marsh Watershed Park, brings fresh scenery and a chance to explore a brand-new natural area.
Residents can cast their votes online now through December 10. The winning park will be celebrated with custom artwork by local illustrator Sarah Glaser, highlighting the park’s unique features and creating a new collectible sticker for the community…
