Circus of Careers: Steve Harvey Can’t Keep a Straight Face on “Family Feud”

Los Angeles, CA – “Family Feud” host Steve Harvey is known for his poker face, but even he couldn’t hold it together during a recent episode that had contestants reimagining their daily grind as a thrilling circus act. The hilarious segment, which asked families to “Name a circus act that reminds you of your job,” left both Harvey and viewers in stitches.

The Lovelace family kicked off the round with Amanda, who quickly buzzed in with “The lion tamers,” landing the number two spot on the board. Bob, however, took a swing and a miss with “The elephant,” prompting a chance for the Mancillas family to step up to the plate.

Alyssa of the Mancillas clan scored a hit with “Swinging and flipping,” clearly envisioning a high-flying trapeze artist. Her teammate, Issac, then brought the house down with “The clowns,” prompting a surprised but amused Harvey to quip, “Put a clown on him.” The answer, much to Harvey’s delight, was indeed on the board.

Andrea from the Mancillas family then delivered an enthusiastic, albeit incorrect, answer: “The good old dog and pony show.” Harvey’s unimpressed reaction was palpable. But it was Alfonso who snagged the top answer with “The juggler,” a response that resonated with many viewers struggling to balance multiple tasks at work.

The game continued with more wild guesses. Amanda’s “The fortune teller” didn’t make the cut, and Alyssa’s “Shooting out of a cannon”-while undeniably creative-resulted in the Mancillas family’s final strike.

This opened the door for the Lovelace family to steal the game. Morgan stepped up to the podium and, with the pressure on, confidently declared, “The balancing highwire, Steve.” This final correct answer clinched the win for the Lovelace family, much to the delight of the studio audience.

Fans quickly flocked to social media to share their thoughts on the uproarious round. One viewer commented, “Considering how most people have to do multiple tasks in work, it’s no surprise that Juggler is number one.”

Another expressed surprise that “CLOWN” wasn’t the top answer, noting, “It took 56 seconds for someone to say CLOWN. I’m very surprised it’s not #1.”

The humor continued with a viewer remarking, “Human cannonball because I could get fired any time,” and another comically relating to “The Sword Swallower. Every time Upper Management decrees a new directive.

Because no matter how stupid or impossible it is, you’ve still gotta open wide.”

It seems that when it comes to the daily grind, many Americans feel they’re living in their own personal three-ring circus, and “Family Feud” captured that perfectly.
